Peter Cole
Creative Technologist, San Francisco
Hi, I’m Peter. I’m a developer, manager, architect and creator of websites, rich internet applications, digital marketing, online advertising, mobile and multimedia. Combining my background and passion for technology, with my love of great design and creative thinking, I enjoy helping to conceive and lead the implementation of innovative ways of using technology for creative digital experiences. I like to play with user interfaces, data relationships, web services, social networks, open standards, Flash, video, animation, audio, mobile, graphics, great design and user experience as well as all the other “Web 2.0” technologies.
Currently I lead the Technology team for R/GA in San Francisco where I’m helping to build out the new SF office. In addition to Nike work for NIKEiD and the Nike Store, we’re also doing some amazing work for HP, Tacobell and a significant new product design from scratch that combines a desktop application, web application, mobile, realtime audio and of course all of the UX, design and branding to support it. Prior to R/GA, I was Director of Creative Development at AKQA, San Francisco. While there, I worked on digital projects for Nike, Microsoft, Xbox, Visa, Target, Kraft, Palm and others.
Some of my favorite things to geek-out with: Javascript, CSS, AJAX, the Adobe Creative Suite and platform – Flash/Flex/AIR, Actionscript 3.0, iPhone development, PHP, XML, SQL, video and soon: HTML5! I’m a big freak about Search (SEO), Google tools, collective intelligence and anything related to mobile and social technologies. I love to learn about new things to play with!
